Responsibilities
The primary funeral director responsibilities include making initial contact with families, arrangement conferences and follow up, directing funeral services and visitations, final preparation of body for service or cremation. Our care team funeral director responsibilities include making the transfer from the place of death and care of the body as selected by the family. Our expectations for our funeral directors include interacting with honesty, integrity and respect for all. We trust our staff to make decisions with integrity resulting in win-win outcomes. The ability to occasionally lift, push or pull objects of 400 pounds with assistance. This position requires a valid Iowa Funeral Director’s License issued by the State of Iowa and a valid drivers license.
